WHAT WE'VE DONE in Cub Scout Pack 94!
2009/2010 EVENTS
Dec 5 Tour of Ashtabula The group that attended enjoyed a GREAT tour of the historical home. Tour guides were dressed in 1800's costumes and gave us some neat facts from that time period. What a wonderful way to start the Christmas Season.
November 2009 Annual District Cubmobile Races We had two teams participate in the Webelos Division and one team in the Wolf Division. We won 2nd place in the Wolf Division and had a third place showing for the Webelos!
October 2009 Family Fall Camp-out at Sadler's Creek State Park We had 36 participants attend the camp-out. Scouts participated in a fire starting competition, "Wolf" hunt by using a radio frequency to locate the stuffed animal, obstacle course, and see the Wildlife Wonders Show. It was GREAT to get to see such a variety of animails.
Annual Bicycle Rodeo, Sept. 27 We had 108 participants attend the event which was held at Nettles Park. The change in venue worked well. A BIG thanks to Clemson Cyclery for doing bike inspections, Clemson University Fire Department for bringing the "Smoke House" and a firetruck for the kids to see, Clemson University Police Bike Patrol, Pendleton EMS, Safe Kids of Anderson, Anderson Sherrif's Department Explorer Post for doing "Ident-a-kid" cards, PES and MLS PTOs for providing snacks, and the many other sponsors!
August 2009: Party with the Animals Scouts who attended got to see and feel reptiles and amphibians. The program was brought ot us by Whit Gibbons of the Savannah River Ecological Laboratory. The talk of the day was about the huge frog!!!
July 2009: Geology Museum and SC Botanical Gardens Scouts and their families joined together to explore the Geology Museum. The "treasure hunt" lead them to find many neat facts. A walk around the Botanical Gardens provided a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.

Nov 2008 District Cubmobile Races We had two teams of Tigers, Webelos, and Cubs compete at the annual races held at the Anderson Civic Center. Thanks to Doug Collins for re-working the cars we had and thanks to Jimmy Stamey and Doug for building a new one! Here's to planning for next year!
Oct 24-26 District Fall Family Camp-out The threat of heavy rain delayed Friday arrival; however, Saturday's activities were fun-filled! The campsite on Loop 1 provided worked out to be a GREAT location for our 63 campers for the weekend. Saturday started with our traditional Pack Breakfast and a grits side-dish prepared by Rodney Brooks. The rotational events included the Bug Safari, Bug Arena Games, Critter Keeper, and Creepy Crawlers. The Critter Keeper's "show and tell" held a very captive audience. Saturday's supper was topped off with Dutch oven cooking' and plenty of desserts! From what I hear . . . everyone's ready to go back again! Thanks to the MANY hands that helped during the weekend ;)
Sunday, Sept 7 Annual Bicycle Rodeo

A BIG thanks to those who helped with the kitchen detail!!

The goal for our Bicycle Rodeo is to teach as many children bicycle safety.
