WHAT WE'VE DONE in Cub Scout Pack 94!

2009/2010 EVENTS

Dec 5 Tour of Ashtabula   The group that attended enjoyed a GREAT tour of the historical home.  Tour guides were dressed in 1800's costumes and gave us some neat facts from that time period.  What a wonderful way to start the Christmas Season.

November 2009 Annual District Cubmobile Races   We had two teams participate in the Webelos Division and one team in the Wolf Division.  We won 2nd place in the Wolf Division and had a third place showing for the Webelos!

October 2009 Family Fall Camp-out at Sadler's Creek State Park   We had 36 participants attend the camp-out.  Scouts participated in a fire starting competition, "Wolf" hunt by using a radio frequency to locate the stuffed animal, obstacle course, and see the Wildlife Wonders  Show.  It was GREAT to get to see such a variety of animails.

Annual Bicycle Rodeo, Sept. 27   We had 108 participants attend the event which was held at Nettles Park.  The change in venue worked well.  A BIG thanks to Clemson Cyclery for doing bike inspections, Clemson University Fire Department for bringing the "Smoke House" and a firetruck for the kids to see, Clemson University Police Bike Patrol, Pendleton EMS, Safe Kids of Anderson, Anderson Sherrif's Department Explorer Post for doing "Ident-a-kid" cards, PES and MLS PTOs for providing snacks, and the many other sponsors!

August 2009:  Party with the Animals  Scouts who attended got to see and feel reptiles and amphibians.  The program was brought ot us by Whit Gibbons of the Savannah River Ecological Laboratory.  The talk of the day was about the huge frog!!!

July 2009:  Geology Museum and SC Botanical Gardens  Scouts and their families joined together to explore the Geology Museum. The "treasure hunt" lead them to find many neat facts.  A walk around the Botanical Gardens provided a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.

June 2009:  Cub Scout Day Camp Darwin Wright Park in Anderson.  We had several Scouts attend and have a GREAT week!

Feb 2009  Blue and Gold Banquet   This year's banquet was catered by the Olive Garden.  Scouts celebrated the birthday of scouting and received advancements.

Pendleton Christmas Parade    We had 15-20 Scouts participate.  Our Santa on Vacation theme won FIRST PLACE.  Hopefully we'll be able to come up with another GREAT entry for 2009!  WAY TO GO!!!

Nov 2008 District Cubmobile Races
We had two teams of Tigers, Webelos, and Cubs compete at the annual races held at the Anderson Civic Center.  Thanks to Doug Collins for re-working the cars we had and thanks to Jimmy Stamey and Doug for building a new one! Here's to planning for next year!

Oct 24-26  District Fall Family Camp-out
The threat of heavy rain delayed Friday arrival; however, Saturday's activities were fun-filled!  The campsite on Loop 1 provided worked out to be a GREAT location for our 63 campers for the weekend.  Saturday started with our traditional Pack Breakfast and a grits side-dish prepared by Rodney Brooks.  The rotational events included the Bug Safari, Bug Arena Games, Critter Keeper, and Creepy Crawlers.  The Critter Keeper's "show and tell" held a very captive audience.  Saturday's supper was topped off with Dutch oven cooking' and plenty of desserts! From what I hear . . . everyone's ready to go back again!  Thanks to the MANY hands that helped during the weekend ;)

Sunday, Sept 7  Annual Bicycle Rodeo

2:00 - 4:00 p.m.  Sandy Springs Water Company Parking Lot
56 Scouts, along with siblings and classmates, enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon with their bicycles, scooters, big-wheels, or tricycles.  This event was Sponsored in part by: Pendleton Pride in Motion, Clemson Cyclery, and Sandy Springs Water Company. We were pleased to have Pack 161 from Clemson join in on the fun!

2007/2008 Events

Pack Pinewood Derby, Mar 1:
There were 25 entries in our Annual Pinewood Derby!  After the Cub division race, everyone enjoyed a hotdog supper.  Then the Webelos, Troop and Family Divisions were raced.  An Overall Division comprised of the top two winners of each of the "Scout" divisions ended the evening.  Best Handcrafted and Best Precut Design awards were given.  Congratulations to all our winners!  A BIG thanks to those who helped with the kitchen detail!!

Blue and Gold Banquet, Feb 12:  The Pack and Troop celebrated the Birthday of Scouting with a pizza and sub dinner.  Scouts participated in a make-and-take Valentine card organized by Terri and Rodney Brooks.  Both the Pack and Troop recognized achievements of Scouts and Scouters.

Monster Truck Show, Jan 26:  20 people attended the now annual Monster Truck Show at the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville.  "Seeing Gravedigger win was the best!"  Participants had the opportunity to have a pre-show Pit Crew tour.  It was a FUN filled afternoon for all ... earplugs included!

Pendleton Christmas Parade:  Dec 9:  We had a NEAT Parade entry this year - a full-size tepee with a bunch of Indians and Cowboys.  Thanks to Rodney, Mark, Jenn, and Lindalee for helping make it possible!

Wolf and Bear CUBMOBILE RACES, Nov 18:
We had 2 teams participate in the District's Annual Cubmobile Races at the Anderson Civic Center.

Clemson Men's Basketball Game vs. Augusta State, Nov 6: Two dens had scouts attend the exhibition game in Littlejohn.

Tiger and Webelos CUBMOBILE RACES, Oct 28:  We had 3 teams (Tiger, Webelos 1, and Webelos 2) participate in the District's Annual Cubmobile Races at the Anderson Civic Center.

Fall Family Camp-out at Sadler's Creek State Park, Oct 12-14:

Annual Bicycle Rodeo, September 23:
Around 20 Scouts participated in this event that was held at Sandy Springs Water Company.  They tested their skills on 5 different courses and cooled off with snow cones and drinks.  Thanks to "Mrs. Jenn" for taking care of the refreshments.

Anderson Joe's Baseball game, August 11:  We had 12 attend and I feel sure that they will have some great things to say about the experience at our first meetings on Sept. 11.

6&20 District Cub Scout Day Camp, June 11-15:  We had 10 scouts attend the fun-filled week at Darwin Wright Park.  BB's, Archery, Swimming, Canoeing and crafts kept the scouts busy all week long.
